For the Mark Lane cafe, the aim was to create a contemporary design that maintains the Birleys brand. This included refreshing the materials and colours of the café as well as designing new seating, shelving and counter detailing. A new panelled wall was designed for the display of the client's artwork and a co-ordinated mural was created by the acclaimed artist, Kitty Arden.
